Recognized for Art, Grounded in Purpose

Trysen Kaneshige is a Kauaʻi-born artist, muralist, and founder of Inspire To Create Media LLC, known for healing-centered art, cultural storytelling, and community impact across Hawaiʻi.

From Healing to Impact

Born and raised on Kauaʻi, Trysen Kaneshige is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in healing, storytelling, and community connection. His journey into art deepened during a period of personal struggle following a traumatic brain injury that changed the direction of his life. In that season, art became more than a creative outlet. It became a way to rebuild, process, and reconnect with purpose.

Official Recognition

Trysen Kaneshige has been formally recognized by both the Office of the Mayor and the Kauaʻi County Council for his artistic contributions, community impact, and dedication to honoring the people and stories of Hawaiʻi.
Through his work, particularly his large-scale mural installations and community-centered projects, he has been acknowledged as an artist whose impact extends beyond visual art and into cultural preservation, education, and service.
These recognitions reflect a body of work grounded not only in skill, but in purpose, integrity, and commitment to community.

What Makes the Work Different

Trysen’s work sits at the intersection of art, healing, and cultural storytelling.

Rather than creating murals or visuals that simply decorate a space, his approach is rooted in deeper intention: to create work that carries meaning, reflects identity, and helps people feel something real.
This is what makes the work distinct.
It is shaped by lived experience, grounded in Kauaʻi, and driven by a desire to create art that uplifts, honors, and connects.
