Kauaʻi Veterans Museum
Three walls. More than eighty feet. Every detail painted in aerosol.
WHY THIS WALL
The three walls are painted to be read in order, not as separate pictures: the Pacific, the storm, the dust. One era hands to the next, the weather changing behind it.
The backgrounds were laid in with house paint, sponsored in part by Home Depot, and everything on top of them was painted in aerosol. Unveiled in January 2026 with a mayoral proclamation and a County Council certificate.
In the press: The Garden Island, front page, Muralist celebrated at council meeting and Kauaʻi Now. Trysen's work with the Veterans Center goes back to 2020, when he mentored an Eagle Scout mural dedicated there.
