THE STORY

WHY THIS WALL

In 2018, Trysen joined Volcom's Featured Artist Series at Déjà Vu on Kauaʻi, airbrushing blank Volcom swimwear into one-of-one pieces, live in the store.

Every suit was painted by hand on the spot, so no two came out the same. Shoppers watched each piece go from blank white fabric to finished art.

Alongside the swimwear, Volcom displayed a door Trysen painted: a honu gliding through a breaking wave under a sunset sky, a white hibiscus at its feet, and the Volcom stone set into the upper panel.
