Kauai Veterans Museum Murals

Project Overview

Series of murals honoring veterans who served from WWI, WWII, Pearl Harbor, Vietnam and Korean War, Afghanistan and Desert Storm painted inside the museum.

Creative Process

• Research and Concept Development: Using tools like procreate and adobe photoshop to mock up designs.
• Illustration Style: Developed a cinematic realism style to be painted looking like scenes from a movie.
• Feedback and Revisions: Collaborated closely with stakeholders and museum director to refine the designs based on feedback.

Outcome

The final murals were successfully painted inside the Kauai Veterans Musuem leading to increased engagement and a positive response from the community.

Recognized by Mayor Derek Kawakami with a Proclamation and County Council of Kauai with a Certificate of Recognition for this milestone with press feature in The Garden Island Newspaper
